I think everyone knew which board member it was, if you can call him that, would absolutely not put it past him. Really makes sense now, I felt sorry for him enough as it is now having to deal with that Pound bunch and their "leaders".

I'm seeing a lot of blame being tossed around but according to the Coalfield article it was Perry who accused him of being a thief without first getting all the information. If what is in the paper is correct, then he did apparently have the correct permission to use the gas and Perry should have researched that before speaking to him. Under NO circumstances should he have accused him of being a thief. Even if he believed it to be true. In such a case he should have asked for his side of what happened, either before or after speaking to Collins, and then either agreed that he did have the correct permission for the gas or if he believed that he had not gone through the correct channels then he should have taken action, not before, and never accuse an employee of theft (even if you believe it is true) management 101 there. Fully research, dismiss as unfounded, or take action. Again management 101.

Where does it say Dr. Perry accused him of anything? It only says that Salyers said Dr. Perry said that putting the gas in a private vehicle was illegal, that's just stating the facts, not calling him a thief. Can't imagine Dr. Perry calling him a thief or doing anything close to it without first checking the facts, trying to figure out where you see he was accused of being a thief by him or anyone according to the article? Not seeing anything at all like that.

If he did not go through the correct channels and if he what he did was in fact illegal, and if he was charged with a crime, what crime do you think it would be?

well, wouldn't that depend on who says it's "illegal"?
I know nothing about this, so... is it a state law, a county law, a SB rule.. whose rule did he break (if any)?

Well, we will probably never know the full extent of the situation and we all have done some finger pointing, myself included. I really think ALL parties involved blew this all out of proportion.

If it's a school board rule, then it's not an illegal act. It is only illegal if it's an actual law, not a rule.

If he did in fact get permission from principle Collins, and if principle Collins knew the details, and if it is in fact illegal, then principle Collins also committed an illegal act.

I agree, it was all blown way out of proportion, and not just on here.
